Intakes

US universities offer intakes in four seasons:

  • Spring (January/February)
  • Fall (August/September)
  • Summer (April/May)

Tests Required

For various course streams, specific standardized tests are mandated:

  • TOEFL/IELTS/PTE/DULINGO: All universities in the USA require proof of English language proficiency test, usually through tests like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or DET. The required scores vary by institution and program.
  • GRE (Graduate Record Examination): Required for Master's applicants in most fields, excluding Management programs.
  • SAT/ACT: Freshman applicants typically need to submit SAT or ACT results. Certain colleges and top universities may also request three SAT II subject test scores.
  • GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test): Mandatory for those pursuing a Master's in Management or Business Administration.

Eligibility Status

Undergraduate: Typically, a 10+2 qualification is required.

Graduate: Most programs require 16 years of education (10+2+4). Some institutions accept 15 years for Bridge/Masters Programs.

Admissions Seasons: Various intakes are available, including Winter (December).

Admission Criteria: Strong performance in entrance exams like SAT, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, IELTS, etc., is crucial. Additionally, applicants should provide compelling recommendation letters, a Statement of Purpose/Personal Statement, essays, and resumes.
