Study In Canada

Overview

Canada attracts over 130,000 students annually, earning its reputation as the world's best place to live, offering exceptional comfort. This North American gem comprises ten provinces and three territories, boasting low crime rates and affordable education compared to the US and elsewhere. Foreign students flock to Canada for its top-notch education, economical tuition, and abundant job opportunities. Canadian degrees and diplomas hold global recognition. With a plethora of universities, community colleges, and language schools to choose from, students enjoy diverse options.

Another compelling factor for selecting Canadian education is its straightforward immigration system, considered one of the simplest globally. Attaining permanent residency in Canada is relatively straightforward, enhancing career prospects for students. Graduates from Canadian institutions frequently embark on prosperous careers, with the opportunity to work in Canada for up to one year post-graduation.

Intakes

Intakes in Canada follow these key seasons:

  • Fall: Typically in September
  • Winter: Generally in January
  • Summer: Typically in May

The primary intake season is Fall, with some institutions offering Winter intakes as well. Summer intakes are less common and offered by only a few universities.

Tests Required

Depending on the chosen course, standardized tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, GRE, and GMAT may be necessary.

For non-native English speakers, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is typically required, although some U.S. universities now accept IELTS.

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) serves as the entrance test for most Master's programs except those in Management; however, not all universities mandate GRE.

SAT scores are needed for certain undergraduate programs in Canada.

For Master's in Management or Business Administration, applicants usually must provide results from the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).
